  • Conceptualization, development and design of a bench-scale biological passive treatment system for the heavy metal removal from landfill leachate and wastewater
  • Analyzed laboratory data and conducted mathematical models

Ph.D Candidate (Feb.2008-2012)

Department of Civil EngineeringQueen's University, Kingston, Ontario, Canada

  • Group research on biogas-fueled solid oxide fuel cell (SOFC) system investigation and application in co-generation processes at wastewater treatments (NSERC Project)
  • Enhancement of biogas production from anaerobic co-digestion processes to supply high quality energy for the group research
  • Develop experimental procedure, design pilot-scale reactors, and set up equipment at Ravensview
  • Provide information and technique support to the treatment plant on the anaerobic digester upgrade
  • Collected gas and wastewater samples and tested gas contents, COD, SS, TKN, NH3-N, NO3-N, VFA, LCFA, etc
  • Set up, operated, and maintained the analysis facilities including GC, Micro-GC, AAS, HPLC, IC, etc.
  • Analyzed laboratory data and conducted mathematical models
